Falco is HTPreps “Girls Track Athlete of the Year”

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS junior Sophia Falco was named “Girls Track Athlete of the Year” by HTPreps Tuesday. “I am extremely honored, not only for myself but for my team as well,” said Falco. “Putting in the hard work and practicing every day is how I earned this award. Ranch Reflection – Tough to recover from long-term illness

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – High school is hard enough, between rigorous classes, full schedules and piles of homework. When an illness is added into the mix, it becomes even more difficult task to succeed. Nearly everyone has sick days but when those sick days are excessive due to a chronic or persistent illness, it is next to impossible not to get behind with work.

Senior exams will be here before you know it

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Senior exams are coming up quick, May 23-26. Seniors must show up for all exams that they are not officially exempt from. In order to be exempt, a student must have an 86% or higher in third and fourth quarters, and teacher approval. Exempt students will be excused with a parent call to the attendance office.

Girls basketball concludes successful fundraiser

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Thursday, Oct. 8 the LRHS girls basketball Mustangs hosted a free- throw shoot out in the gymnasium to raise money for equipment. The current junior varsity and varsity girls participated in the successful event. Each of the participants had a sponsor who pledged to give a certain amount of money per free throw.

Mustangs closing in as Chick-Fil-A competition continues

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – It’s rival week for LRHS and Braden River on the football field and at the Creekwood Commons Chick-fil-A . Mustangs are urged to purchase a meal and make sure to vote for LRHS and bring the receipt in to turn in during lunch for a prize. So far, the school spirits of the Mustangs has earned $1,179.18 which is just behind the Braden River total of $1,754.65.

LRHS seniors learn about important dates

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – During the LRHS senior meeting Tuesday, students were informed about several important dates and events –. Seniors get six graduation tickets automatically – extra ticket may be available next April. Senior sweatshirts and t-shirts will be available Sept. 16 – Oct. 9. Sweatshirts are $25 and t-shirts are $15.
